Welcome to the Digital Health Marketplace 

Digital Health Marketplace (previously Pilot Health Tech NYC) began as an initiative launched in 2013 by the City of New York and the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC). In a strategic review of the life sciences and healthcare sectors, NYCEDC identified a portfolio of initiatives to support companies and entrepreneurs in both the healthcare and life sciences communities. Ever since, the aim of this program has been to enable collaboration between digital health companies and potential customers, thereby speeding the diffusion of badly-needed technologies.

As a result of its 2014 Health Sector Study and ongoing community engagement, NYCEDC pivoted the original program from a funding competition to a platform for business development. With even more regular matchmaking, improved technical assistance, and low-maintenance grants, Digital Health Marketplace is a frictionless market for health technologies.

  • SBIR IMPACT NYC, which provides workshops and one-on-one assistance to help companies apply for federal funding
  • Harlem Biospace, which provides affordable wet-lab and office space for early-stage companies
  • Life Sciences Funding Initiative, which will provide $150 million in early-stage support for life science and digital health companies in partnership with Celgene, Eli Lilly & Company and GE Ventures
